So there are some people talking of an ACN scam but do they have a legitimate reason to do so? Or is this just another stab at the Network Marketing industry in general?
Well let’s take a quick look at the company and see what it actually is.
ACN (American Communications Network) provides digital telecommunication services, included in this is broadband, wireless and a video phone service. You can make money with the company through the Network Marketing business model attached to it. The thing here is that there is an actual service/product being provided. That instantly takes the company out of the ‘ponzi’ zone. As we all know a real pyramid scam is where there is no product or service delivered to the end user, but only money exchanged for bringing people into the pyramid.
Here are a few others reasons to dismiss any ACN scam claims….
The company is well endorsed by Donald Trump, founder of The Trump Network. Now given Donald’s popularity and reputation in the business world, I can’t see him ever associating himself with anything short of 100% legit. Interestingly ACN are also partnered with other major telecom providers Sprint, Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, Dish Network, and Direct TV. This is good for 2 reasons, the first being customers are likely to be getting a top notch service. Secondly I very much doubt these companies would want to be seen to be associating with something that was a ‘scam’
ACN was founded by Greg Provenzano, Robert Stevanovski, Mike Cupisz & Tony Cupisz (twin brothers), all are previously successful in network marketing. The company is based in Farmington Hills, Michigan.
“Based on the evidence available I can’t see how ACN could possibly be classed as a scam, but obviously some folks can!”
It seems to me that ACN scam stories could be fuelled by the marketing activities of some distributors. It’s a common problem in the Network Marketing industry; these opportunities are often marketed in such a way that seems to promise easy, fast wealth. Many people will buy on the impulsive of quick wealth only to find out 2 or 3 months down the line that the dream they were sold hasn’t materialised. There can be several reasons for this, maybe they didn’t put in the effort needed, or perhaps didn’t even get the training they needed.
The true fact is that most people in network marketing don’t make the big bucks (but more should!)
It’s a tough business and requires some real determination and effort. For a lot of people their main problem is getting enough people to talk to about their opportunity. Network Marketing is definitely a numbers game; you will go through a lot of ‘no’s’ before you get to a ‘yes’.
