Welcome to my blog post! I’m expecting if you have been on the internet for any length of time you will have seen an awful lot of hype and extravagant promises of riches!
I know I did when I first got into the online marketing world.
Cyber space sure is a different world, a world where people can easily get ripped off, and also a world where good honest people can make a good honest living!
We just need to be savvy when we are doing our research and have our heads screwed on, if someone tells you you’re gunna make 10 thousand bucks by next month, I’d take a step back and think again. Sure there is plenty of money to be made online, people have been doing it for years. Heck, I’ve been doing it for the last 10 months! You just need to understand that it’s a competitive industry (what business isn’t these days?) and that you will need to pull your finger out and get to work! This is NOT a silver bullet industry!
The people who are ‘living the dream’ sipping champagne by the pool are either flat out lying OR they have already put in 6 to 12 months of HARD graft to get their business to that magic point of auto-pilot.
I’ve been in the online marketing trenches now for the last 12 months or so, in fact it was a year ago that I set up this very website you’re looking at. I remember distinctly making my very first blog post and video, which incidentally has been the most productive piece of content I’ve ever created in terms of affiliate sign ups.
So how, realistically can you make money working online?
Here are just a few examples, there are many more but these are the methods I’ve had personal experience with (at the end of this article I’ve got a video presentation for you which will go into more detail)
Affiliate Marketing – this is pretty simple, you promote someone else’s product and every time you make a sale you will get a commission payment. You can see examples of such products by visiting the internet’s one stop affiliate shop…Clickbank. Assuming you know how to actually market the darn thing, then you can make some pretty easy money! Many people will begin with Affiliate Marketing when starting online, but unfortunately most will fail and give up! (I will explain why later)
Cost Per Action (CPA) – this is the same deal as with affiliate marketing, the difference is that you get paid per action, rather than per sale. So someone might download a piece of software, or enter their name & email into a form or even just enter a zip code….you will get paid for it!
Network Marketing – the internet is a great place to build this sort of business, we can leverage systems to do a lot of the legwork for us and we have an almost unlimited supply of leads. In a nutshell Network Marketing companies sell their products through distributors rather than main stream avenues. Distributors earn when they sell products, but also when they build a team under them, you will get paid for the efforts of your team members also!
Network Marketing works on the basis of relationship building and personal recommendation of products. If Network Marketing is your cup of tea, then you can learn how to do it right here
Google Adsense – these are those text ads that you see on websites; you can click on them and visit another site that interests you. Every time you click them someone earns money! So in theory you can set up your own website about a particular topic, get a load of traffic to it, apply to Google Adsense, display the ads on your site and earn money on auto pilot from people clicking on your ads! Sounds great? Well yeah it is, but you need a shed load of traffic and you’re gonna need to learn SEO (Search Engine Optimization).
Provide a service – register at somewhere like oDesk.com and offer your services (you need to be good at something though, web design, graphics, writing etc…)
These are just a few of the ways to make money working online.
